Tech Fair 2005 Hosts “Analyze Your Web site” Session

Amenia, New York, February 7, 2004 – As part of Tech Fair 2005, co-hosted by The Amenia Chamber of Commerce and The Harlem Valley Partnership, a professional consultation will be given to the public in a special “Analyze Your Web site” session.

Businesspeople are invited to submit a URL of their Web sites to the Chamber for review in advance. Up to five Web sites will be selected, then analyzed and discussed at Tech Fair 2005 by Dan Swift, president of DGSwift a design group, based in Millerton. Swift will examine the Web sites according to their effectiveness in overall design, marketing and “memorability.” Says Swift: “A key concern of all businesses is driving traffic to your Web site. I’ll be looking at such issues as the look and ‘feel’ of your Web site; how memorable your site is to your customers; whether customers are able to quickly navigate your site to get information; and whether they are able to find your site on search engines.”

Garret Corcoran, president of The Chamber, adds: “This is a free professional consultation for businesspeople who plan on attending Tech Fair. It is exactly the kind of skill-building service that sets Tech Fair apart from other events, helping small businesses develop the tools they need to compete and succeed.” Garret recommends that businesspeople send a link of their URL's via email to: info@amenia-cofc.org, complete with their names, addresses and telephone numbers. Participants must be willing to have graphics, or slides, of their Web sites shown and discussed at the “Analyze Your Web site” session. The deadline for submission of URL's to the Chamber is Tuesday, March 15.

Panel Discussions
Tech Fair 2005 will host other exciting discussions, including a showcase on the latest technology solutions for the office and home; the future of technology jobs in the Harlem Valley; and how to design your home office, featuring leading architects and interior designers as panelists.
